Cookie policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies (such as "local storage") work in the same way. This page lists what ChurchedIn uses.
Without your consent: only what is strictly necessary
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|

Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask again on every page | Until you change it or clear your browser |
sb-…-auth-token |
Cookie | Keeps you logged in. Only set when you log in to ChurchedIn (administrators and, later, church representatives) | Until you log out (at most 400 days) |
ci-lang |
Cookie | Remembers the language you chose for the church login screens (English, French or Dutch). Only set when you choose a language there or arrive from a French or Dutch page | 1 year |
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier |
Cookie | Security check while you open a login link | A few minutes |
Maps (OpenStreetMap), fonts, the climate badge (Tree Nation) and our anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) do not set cookies. Page counters for churches and organisations (one anonymous number per page and day, see the privacy policy) use no cookies and store nothing in your browser either.
Only with your consent
These are only loaded after you accept them in the cookie banner.

With your consent we also count a few actions on the site, such as using the search or map, opening a church page, clicking a church's website or directions link, and sending a form or starting a sign-up. We only record the kind of action (for example "search used"), never what you typed, your name, your email address or which church you manage. Nothing is recorded if you reject analytics.
Marketing
None at the moment. If we start measuring advertising (for example Google Ads or Meta), the cookies will be listed here before they are used, and only set if you accept "Marketing".
Changing your choice
Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. If you withdraw consent, we remove the Google Analytics cookies and stop loading Google's scripts. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
