Terms for paid plans
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms apply to the paid plans of ChurchedIn, offered by David Verleysen (0736.831.794), Moorsledestraat 131, 1020 Brussels, Belgium ("ChurchedIn", "we"). The terms of use and the privacy policy also apply. Listing, claiming and editing a church page, publishing events and event registration (within fair use, see article 9) are free and are not covered by these terms.
1. The plans
- Church website: the church's own website at its own address on ChurchedIn, with its own logo, colour, menu, ministries and team.
Event registration (sign-ups with an optional capacity and waiting list, reminders and emails to the church's team) is included for every church and is not a paid plan.
The prices (per month or per year) are shown on our pages and on the Plan tab in My church. Prices include VAT. The price shown when you subscribe applies to your subscription until it is changed under article 8.
2. Who can subscribe
The plans are meant for churches and other organisations, not for consumers. You confirm that you are authorised to subscribe on behalf of the church and that the details you give are correct.
3. Subscribing and paying
You subscribe on the Plan tab in My church. Payment is handled by our payment partner Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically every month or every year, depending on your choice, until you cancel. Stripe sends a receipt for each payment. An invoice is available on request at hello@churchedin.com: please include the church's billing details and VAT number, if any.
4. Start
Your plan starts as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Free first month. The first time a church or organisation chooses the church website plan, it starts with 30 days free. No card is needed for this and nothing is charged during the free month. When the free month ends, the plan continues only if you have added a payment method; the first payment is then taken at that moment and the plan renews as described in article 3. If you have not added a payment method, the plan is switched off at the end of the free month and nothing is charged. A church or organisation can have one free month. You can stop at any time, as described in article 5.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time on the Plan tab (“Manage subscription and invoices”). The plan then stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not renewed. Amounts already paid are not refunded, unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise.
6. Payment problems
If a payment fails, Stripe tries again for several days and we email the church's representatives. The plan stays active for 14 days after the end of the paid period. If the payment is still not received, the plan is switched off.
7. When a plan ends
When a plan ends, the church website goes offline. Events and event registration keep working, because they are free. Texts, photos and settings you entered are kept so that you can restart, and the church's page in the ChurchedIn directory stays online for free. Sign-ups that were already made are handled as described in the privacy policy (deleted 30 days after the event).
8. Changes to prices and plans
We may change prices or plans for the future. We tell the church's representatives by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date.
9. Fair use
The plans and the free services are for a church's own activities. If a church uses the service in an unusually heavy way (for example regularly more than about 500 sign-ups a month, or very large numbers of emails), we may ask you to contact us to agree on suitable terms. We will always talk to you first.
10. Content and personal data
The church is responsible for the content it publishes and for the events it organises. For the sign-ups it collects through ChurchedIn, the church decides who may sign up and what happens with the information; ChurchedIn stores it for the church, shows it only to the church's representatives and deletes it 30 days after the event. See the privacy policy for details.
11. Availability and liability
We do our best to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it is uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent permitted by Belgian law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the plan in the twelve months before the event that caused the damage, except in case of intent or gross negligence on our part.
12. Ending by us
We may suspend or end a plan if these terms or the terms of use are seriously breached, after warning you where reasonable. If we end a plan without such a breach, we refund the unused part of the paid period.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The current version is always available on this page. Changes apply to your subscription from its next renewal, or earlier if the law allows.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels.
