Design your church website
Choose your colour and logo, add your ministries and team, preview your page and publish it at its own address.
Step 1: Open the tab “Church website”
In My church, open the tab Church website. It appears once the website is part of your plan (see the guide on plans). You start on the Overview.
Step 2: Choose your look
In Look, choose one accent colour and add your logo. Without a logo, your initials are shown in a circle in your accent colour. The colour is used for buttons and highlights.
Step 3: Choose your pages and menu
In Pages and menu, switch sections on or off and change their order. A section only appears when it has something to show.
Step 4: Write your texts
In Texts, write the main heading, a short welcome and a text for newcomers (what to expect, where to park, what about children). Every text has a tab for each language.
Step 5: Add your ministries and team
In Ministries, click + Add a ministry for youth, kids, prayer, music… Give a ministry a full text and it gets its own page that people can find in Google. In Team, add the people visitors can get to know and tick the ministries they serve in.
Step 6: Preview your website
Click Preview your website ›. It opens in a new tab with your saved changes, so you can check it on your phone and computer before anyone sees it.
Step 7: Save and publish
Click Save changes. When you are happy, tick Show my website to visitors. Your website is then live at its own address, linked from your church page in the directory. You can switch it off again at any time.
